New premises for educational programmes
From December 2006 School's educational programmes will be held in new premises of the Educational Centre, which has been built with the help of financial aid received from the Ministry of Environment and South Bohemian County Council.
For the children there are three new classrooms prepared, which will provide not only new knowledge but also pleasant experience and unusual encounters with the living animals. The largest one can be used as a lecture hall with the possibility of projection, but also it can be used as large playroom or very cosy room where realisation of educationally ethical programmes will provide the right atmosphere. . The two smaller classrooms will be set up more as laboratories for practical activities – one with the possibility to examine, to the smallest detail, the nature with the help of magnifying glass and microscopes, and the other equipped with terrariums for reptiles, amphibians and small mammals. Neither the laboratories nor the classroom have their final appearance, and we are still working on the complete equipment, even so the largest hall had welcomed their first "students" from the lines of invited guests for the inauguration of the building on the 22nd of November, 2006
The guests were introduced to a programme, which had been provided, by the Centre of Ecological Education and Ethics from Rychory, NORTH.
