You
show your interest in animals in our zoological garden and also in the wild,
by buying an entrance ticket to our zoo. However, if you should decide,
that you would like to contribute even more towards the breeding programme
of a particular kind of animal in our zoo, than you can "adopt"
one of them. Many of the animals bred here belong to a group of endangered
species. With your gift, you will contribute for a period of one year to
costs connected with breeding the animals in our zoo.
How to go about it?
Choose
an animal from our zoological garden (even this internet page can help you
or a list of animals available at the booking office). Fill in the application
form for adoption (to
draw down an application form) and
send it to the address for the zoo. The amount you wish to contribute please
send to our bank account or you can pay it by cash at our booking office
in the zoo. Application form can be found on our internet page or you can
obtain it at the booking office in the zoo.
Financial contribution can be sent by postal order or by bank
transfer to a bank account number:
195 991 085 / 0300 with the variation symbol
91421. Please mention the purpose of the payment on the postal order. If
by chance you pay by cash, our booking office will give you a receipt
for your contribution.
If
you feel that the amount to pay for the particular animal is too high, but
you do not want to give up your support of your favourite animal, then you
can give only a part of the costs, or spread it into regular monthly payments.

First of all, a wonderful adopted
child and maybe a good feeling that you are helping a good cause.

Your name and the amount of your
contribution, if you agree, will be published for a period of one year on
the information board in the grounds of the zoo, on our internet pages and
in the end of the year in the financial statement for the zoo.
§
The name of a sponsor that has
contributed more than 4000 Kč will be with his approval, mentioned on the
information board next to the particular animal for a period of one year,
and on the internet pages where we can show the company logo, and possibly
a reference to the company's internet pages.
(New
regulations regarding adopting an animal have come into force from the 01.01.2001)
You
can also support our zoo by contributing to a new development or
reconstruction of existing exhibitions and other facilities in our zoo,
or other contributory attractions. It doesn't mean that you have to give
only a financial help. Businessmen or companies can also adopt an animal
or contribute to our zoo by way of offering a service, or they can
present their company by way of advertising in the grounds of the zoo (have
a look at the number of visitors to our zoo -
here).
With
your decision to contribute, you will help worldwide endeavour from zoological
gardens to preserve animal varieties that are threatened with extinction
in the wild.
